Michel Brukier takes over as president of the Sosúa Lions Club with a vision focused on service and community development

Sosúa.—Businessman and community leader Michel Brukier was sworn in as the new president of the Sosúa Lions Club during a ceremony held in the conference room of the Casa Marina Hotel, where members of the organization, officials, business leaders, and special guests showed their support for the start of a new term focused on strengthening social work and commitment to the community.

The ceremony marked the beginning of the 2026–2027 Lions year, which will be held under the theme “Hands That Serve, Hearts That Transform.” Alongside Michel Brukier, the new Board of Directors was introduced, consisting of María Caterina Praticó, LCIF advisor and marketing advisor; Debora Rossano, first vice president; Louise Kublick, second vice president; Davide Grassi, administrator and tail twister; Anabel Castillo, secretary; Emma Givera, treasurer; Sabrina Gutiérrez, tamer; Lynne Chester, Membership and Service Advisor; Julissa Guzmán, Director for one year; Marie Claire Limoges, Director for two years; and Leroy Emilliano Bartram, Peace Poster Contest Advisor.

During the event, Michel Brukier’s track record as an entrepreneur committed to the development of Sosúa and his ongoing participation in projects with a social impact were highlighted—qualities that underscore the confidence placed in his leadership to head one of the world’s most important service organizations.

With this swearing-in ceremony, the Sosúa Lions Club reaffirmed its mission to serve the community through programs focused on assistance, health, education, and human development, ushering in a new era under the presidency of Michel Brukier, with the goal of expanding the scope of its efforts, strengthening ties with the community, and continuing to promote initiatives that contribute to the well-being and development of the municipality.
